The Visual Arts department offers a wide variety of courses from Introduction to Art and Ceramics, to Painting & Drawing and Art History. Courses are taught at Advanced, Honors and AP levels. Students enjoy presenting their work at art shows including the annual La Salle Art Exhibit, High School Self-Portrait Show, B Street Theatre Art Show and student-directed Courage Art Show. Local artists frequently visit the classroom and share their passion and knowledge. Students create and design the school’s annual Easter and Christmas cards as well as posters for theatre productions.
The Visual Arts department offers a four-year arts program allowing students to pursue advanced study. Participants in the four-year arts program will have one semester of the PE requirement waived to allow for the extra courses in the chosen arts discipline.
