CB’s dedicated, motivated and creative media, visual and performing arts faculty encourage and challenge students to succeed. As Lasallian educators, they focus on finding and fostering the God-Given talents and gifts unique to each student. As part of its ongoing commitment to educating the “whole” child, Christian Brothers High School stepped up its commitment to the visual and performing arts. It now boasts an outstanding roster of eight choral groups; eight instrumental performance groups; three annual theater productions; and numerous art classes and exhibitions, both on and off campus. Currently, 600 students (more than half of the Christian Brothers student body) participate in the arts.
Freshmen students may enroll in visual art, theatre arts, men’s chorus, women’s chorus, beginning band, concert band or orchestra. Visual Arts, Choral, and Instrumental programs offer four-year curriculums that allow students to pursue advanced study in their chosen discipline. Theater productions, Open Mic nights and student-led choirs De La Femme and De La Dudes are open to all students.
