Science Teacher
Mr. Danny Delgado ’79 joined the Christian Brothers High School faculty in 1986. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UC Irvine and a master’s degree in social work from CSU Sacramento. While Mr. Delgado has retired from his teaching position, he continues to serve the community as our Cross Country Coach. He is proud that three generations of Delgados have graduated from CB his father, Gomez ’55; brothers Danny ’79, Rob ’82, Vince ’84 and Paul ’87; his son, Matthew ’07 and daughter, Elise ’09. When asked, he will tell you, “I bleed Blue and Red.” Mr. Delgado was named CB’s Lasallian Educator of the Year in 2007.
Delgado began coaching football and track with CB in 1986. The next season, he took the cross country program for a year but his role in school administration necessitated stepping away. In 1992, he once again took the program until leaving in 1996. Upon his return to CB in 2002, Delgado once again took over the reigns of the cross country program. Since his return, the cross country program has grown from 17 to nearly 70 runners each year.
